As a member of the Network Partners’ team of inspired professionals, you will be supporting pharmaceutical cold chain packaging design and qualification activities as well as function as a temperature controlled packaging subject matter expert for one of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies involved in drug discovery, drug development and commercialization.
The packaging engineering role is remote, with travel as needed, to the Northeastern US and other US locations. Your role will utilize your cold chain packaging subject matter expertise to help our client meet their program objectives.

You will be an integral team member of our packaging engineering business and will collaborate closely with your client team, on a remote basis.
Responsibilities
- Thermal packaging design, development, and validation for a vast portfolio of globally distributed pharmaceutical products
- Subject matter expertise for best practices in temperature controlled supply chain programs
- 50% of projects will be new product introduction and 50% are lifecycle management
- Manage, curate, and enhance the current library of passive temperature controlled solutions. Conduct gap analyses and value improvement reviews and activities for current library of solutions. Evaluate and review state of the art technologies for application to the temperature controlled packaging portfolio.
- Pharmaceutical project management experience
- Documentation and product lifecycle management, change control experience
- Provide temperature controlled packaging subject matter expertise to cross functional teams.
Build Quality into all aspects packaging deliverables.
About You
Your experience and technical competencies:
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing DQ, OQ and PQ for temperature controlled packaging systems
- Demonstrated expertise in new product development programs, as related to temperature controlled packaging solutions.
- Expertise in industry relevant standards and best practices as it relates to:
- temperature controlled packaging development and qualification
- distribution/shipping lane qualification
- ambient profile development
- Quality systems experience for compliance maintenance and change control
- Strong technical writing acumen
- Self-motivated with strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills that support success in a remote working situation
- Strong technical and project management capabilities
- Working knowledge and application of pharmaceutical industry standards, including testing methods and methodologies for shipment of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products—USP General Chapters, relevant PDA Technical Reports for temperature controlled packaging, ASTM, ISTA and relevant ISO standards
- Curious, with a continuous learner mindset and effective problem solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and execute, especially when gaps are identified
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in packaging engineering, preferred. Other relevant engineering or lifesciences degrees are acceptable, in combination with experience
- 7 – 10 years in a temperature controlled packaging engineering role
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing DQ, OQ and PQ for temperature controlled packaging systems
- Experience operating within a quality management system.
- Knowledgeable in the utilization and application of relevant guidance documents for temperature controlled packaging
- Demonstrated technical and thought leadership successes
